Meet Wemby — a goofy, lovable boy with a big personality and lots of love to give! He’s good with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around, though when the excitement gets going and another dog starts barking, he may try to hump them. He’s still learning his manners and will need continued guidance and structure as he matures.
Wemby is also good with cats and does well sharing his space with feline friends. He may have a little food aggression, so feeding separately or giving him his own space during meals is recommended. His neuter should help with some of his marking behaviors, but right now he may still try to mark occasionally.

Chewbarka — the scruffy little shadow you never knew you needed! This sweet boy’s dream life consists of being glued to his human at all times. Your lap? Perfect. Sleeping next to you in bed? Even better. Personal space? Chewbarka has never heard of it.
He’s good with cats and other dogs, but people are definitely his favorite thing. Chewbarka will stay quietly in his kennel as long as you’re nearby, but the second you disappear, he has some strong opinions about it and will happily sing you the song of his people until you return.
This little guy recently had 14 teeth removed during his neuter, but don’t let that fool you — he’s still living life to the fullest! He does still try to mark sometimes, so continued potty training and supervision will help him stay on track. The good news is he does enjoy going outside and soaking up the fresh air.
Chewbarka is looking for someone who wants a constant companion, a cuddle buddy, and a tiny furry best friend who will love you with his whole heart.

On walks, Novalee gets excited and can pull a little on leash, but with consistency and practice she’ll continue improving. She’s a smart cookie who learns quickly and is always ready for her next adventure.

<p>If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.</p>


Puppies don't train themselves

<p>This is going to happen every time and incredibly fast. Please, the next time you have the thought, “I want a puppy!” replace the word “PUPPY” with “DOG.”</p>

<p>If your excitement goes down, even the slightest amount, don’t get a puppy.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The average lifespan for a dog is 12 years. The wondrous smell of puppy breath only last a few months. This means you have waaay more time owning a dog than a puppy. We frequently have puppies returned to us for a variety of reasons. Often this results in an extremely adoptable 8 week old puppy being returned a few months later as an 8 month old train-wreck.</p>
