Meet Josie — Your Daily Dose of Joy in Dog Form ☕🐾
There’s something special about that first morning cup of coffee—the way it lifts your spirit and puts a smile on your face. That’s exactly how Josie makes you feel. Sweet, comforting, and quietly energizing—she’s the kind of presence that makes everything better.
Josie (as in “Cup of Joe”) is an 18-month-old, 45-pound beauty with a rich chocolate coat, soft tan features around her eyes and mouth, adorable white-dipped toes, and the cutest stand-up bouncy ears you’ve ever seen. Just like her chocolate coloring, Josie’s personality is rich, warm, and sweet.
She’s a spunky, quiet girl with a happy tail and tap-dance greeting. She has a gentle energy that fills the room when you walk in. Josie is housebroken, past the chewing phase, and happiest after a good romp around the yard—either solo, with her foster sibling, or playing fetch with her people.
Cats and squirrels? She’s not quite sure what to make of them yet—chasing is part of the fun, after all! She’s a respectful companion around other dogs and would thrive with a canine buddy or in a home where she gets plenty of play and connection.
When she first arrived—unfixed and in heat—Josie didn’t know what to do with a leash or the idea of indoor living. She was shy, unsure, and just trying to understand what safety felt like. Now? She walks in and out like she’s always belonged. She’s learning to enjoy leash walks and continues to build confidence every day.
Because of her initial shyness, Josie will likely feel most at ease in a home with older children or a calm, predictable environment. Fast movement or sudden noise can make her uneasy—but with trust and time, she blossoms.
Josie is ready for a home where she’s not just seen for her beauty, but loved for the sweet, soulful dog she is. She may not be your cup of tea—but she just might be your perfect Cup of Joe. 💛

Something to Consider:
Puppies don't train themselves
If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.
Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.
